Tips for Metered Parking (Mobile Payments):
- Ensure the vehicle license plate is entered correctly before submitting payment.
- User error will not void a parking ticket.
- Only enter the LARGE letters/numbers (typically 6-or 7 letters/numbers) on the license plate.
- Payment confirmation will display the valid payment window (time duration that parking was paid for).
- The meter will NOT display any time on it.
- Payments are good for a zone, not a stall – customers may move their car from stall to stall within a zone during an active session.
- Switching zones will require a new payment/session.
- When using the HotSpot Parking app for payment, you may “buy back” unused time.
Parking Meter / Lot Reservations
Metered parking stalls and parking lots are available for reservation for events and special occasions. Reservations can be made directly with the Parking Utility by submitting a Reservation Request at least 48-hours in advance. All fees must be paid prior to the event date and placement of any meter bags or traffic control items.
- 1-9 stalls are $5.00 per stall
- 10+ stalls are $2.50 per stall
- Parking lots are dependent on lot. Please contact us for more information on pricing before completing the reservation form. See next section for additional information.
Special Event Parking
Individuals or organizations hosting events that require the use of a public lot may be required to submit an Event Application at least sixty (60) days prior to the event. Please contact the Department of Public Works for more information. All fees must be paid prior to the event date and placement of traffic control items.
