
Permit Parking
Downtown Sheboygan offers several long-term public parking solutions for customers. Parking permits are available on a short-term or long-term basis. Off-street public parking lots are enforced Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. General public parking in these lots are available at no charge on nights, weekends and major holidays including New Year’s Day, Friday before Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
All parking permits must be purchased through HotSpot Parking using the app or a PC for individual parking permits (up to 10 per lot). For business or bulk permits, please contact us. The following rates are offered for off-street public parking permits:
- Parking Permits:
- $35/month – Lots 7, 13, 14 and 17
- $30/month – Lots 5, 6 and 8
- $25/month – Lots 2 and Lot 10
- $20/month – Lot 9
- $10/month – Lot 3
- On-Street Parking Permits:
- $20/month at on-street meters excluding 8th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and individually marked meters.

BUSINESS ACCOUNTS: If you’re a business and would like to purchase or manage multiple permits for your business and employees, please contact us. The HotSpot app is meant for individual users (customers) and managing permits by an individual (no individual access).
Public Metered Parking
Downtown Sheboygan offers public on-street and off-street metered parking options for short-term parking. Metered parking is enforced Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Free public parking is available at no charge on weeknights, weekends and major holidays. Free parking is also available on outlying downtown streets and on all streets and lots in South Pier and Riverfront.
The following rates are offered for public on-street parking at metered stalls in downtown Sheboygan:
Metered Parking Solutions
- On-Street Parking Meters:
- Meters enforced weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Free parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and major holidays).
- Holidays include New Year’s Day, Friday before Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
- 50¢ per hour up to maximum allowed time on meter (15-minute, 3-hour or 10 hour)
- Off-Street Parking Lot Meters:
- Meters enforced weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Free parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and major holidays).
- Holidays include New Year’s Day, Friday before Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
- 50¢ per hour up to maximum allowed time on meter (15-minute, 3-hour or 10 hour)
- Off-Street Parking Lots:
- Free parking available in all parking lots in Riverfront and South Pier.
- Some restrictions do apply including no overnight parking, no trailers, and campers.
Meter Reservations
Metered parking stalls are available for reservation for $5.00 per day, per stall. Reservations can be made directly with the Parking Utility by submitting an Reservation Request at least 48-hours in advance. All fees must be paid prior to the event and placement of meter bags or traffic control items.

Lot 3 – located at N 9th Street & Niagara Ave (behind the Stefanie H. Weill Center)
Lot 4 – located at N 9th Street & Wisconsin Ave (adjacent to the Mead Public Library)
Lot 6 – located in the 900 block of Center Ave (across from City Hall)
Lot 7 – located in the 800 block of Center Ave (adjacent to the Public Transit Bus Station)
Lot 9 – located in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Ave (10-hour meters available)
Lot 14 – located in the 700 block of Niagara Ave (north of the Encore Apartments)
Free Parking Lots include:
Lot 16 – located at the round-about on S 8th Street and Indiana Ave
Riverfront – located along west banks of the Sheboygan River (2 lots) – Free Parking
South Pier – located on South Pier Drive in the vicinity of Blue Harbor Resort (3 lots) – Free Parking
Heritage Square – located on S. 12th Street (2 lots) – Free Parking
Special Event Parking: Individuals or organizations hosting events that require the use of a public lot must submit fill out an Event Application at least sixty (60-days) prior to the event. Please contact the Department of Public Works for more information.
Bicycle Parking

The Sheboygan Parking Utility is a division of the City of Sheboygan under the direction of the Director of Transit & Parking and the Sheboygan Transit Commission. The Parking Utility maintains all the public parking lots in downtown, Riverfront, South Pier and Heritage Square. The Parking Utility also maintains the meters located in downtown. Parking rates are established by the Sheboygan Transit Commission.

- Failure to pay the associated parking rates may result in a ticket and/or towing of the automobile. Currently, parking tickets in unpaid meter stalls is $10.00 per offense and parking tickets for parking in a reserved stall is $25.00 per offense.
