Public On-Street and Off-Street Parking
Downtown Sheboygan offers public on-street and off-street parking options including metered and permit parking on downtown streets and in parking lots. Free parking is offered on outlying downtown streets and on all streets and lots in South Pier and Riverfront.
All public parking lots are no charge on nights, weekends and mayor holidays (see below). The following rates are offered for public on-street parking at metered stalls in downtown Sheboygan:
On-Street Parking Solutions
- On-Street Parking Meters:
- Meters enforced weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Free parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and major holidays).
- 50¢ per hour up to maximum allowed time on meter.
- Parking Meters are available in 15-minute, 3 and 10 hour maximum limits and accept quarters, dimes and nickels only.
- On-Street Parking Permits:
- $20/month at meters in the Parking Zone ($50 one-time refundable permit fee applies.)
- Some restrictions do apply including 8th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and individually marked meters.
Off-Street Parking Solutions
- Off-Street Parking Lot Meters:
- Meters enforced weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Free parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and major holidays).
- 50¢ per hour up to maximum allowed time on meter.
- Parking Meters are available in 15-minute, 3-hour and 10-hour maximum limits and accept quarters, dimes and nickels only.
- Lot 14 on Niagara Avenue allows for “pay-per-use” parking. Rates are posted at the entrance of this lot and accepts bills and credit cards.
- Off-Street Parking Lots:
- Free parking available in all parking lots in Riverfront and South Pier.
- Some restrictions do apply including no overnight parking, no trailers, and campers.

Lot 16 – located at the round-about on S 8th Street and Indiana Ave
Riverfront – located along west banks of the Sheboygan River (2 lots) – Free Parking
South Pier – located on South Pier Drive in the vicinity of Blue Harbor Resort (3 lots) – Free Parking
Heritage Square – located on S. 12th Street (2 lots) – Free Parking
Permit Parking
Downtown Sheboygan also offers several reserved parking options for regular customers. Parking permits are available on a short-term or long-term basis and are based on availability. Reserved parking permit lots are enforced Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. General public parking in these lots are available at no charge on nights, weekends and major holidays (see below). The following rates are offered for reserved off-street parking permit lots in downtown Sheboygan:
- Off-Street Parking Lot Permits:
- Tier A Lot permits are $35/month*
- Tier B Lot permits are $30/month*
- Tier C Lot permits are $25/month*
- Tier D Lot permits are $20/month*
- Tier E Lot permits are $10/month*
- On-Street Parking Permits:
- $20/month at meters in the Parking Zone*
- Some restrictions do apply including 8th Street, Pennsylvania Avenue and individually marked meters.

Special Event Parking
Individuals or organizations hosting events that require the use of a public lot must submit fill out an Event Application at least sixty (60-days) prior to the event. Please contact the Department of Public Works for more information.
Meter Reservations
Metered parking stalls are available for reservation for $5.00 per day, per stall. Reservations can be made directly with the Parking Utility by submitting an Reservation Request at least 48-hours in advance. All fees must be paid prior to the event and placement of meter bags or traffic control items.
Free Parking & Holidays
Parking is free at all metered stalls and in all public parking lots on weeknights, weekends and major holidays. Major holidays include: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

The Sheboygan Parking Utility is a division of the City of Sheboygan under the direction of the Director of Transit & Parking and the Sheboygan Transit Commission. The Parking Utility maintains all the public parking lots in downtown, Riverfront, South Pier and Heritage Square. The Parking Utility also maintains the meters located in downtown. Parking rates are established by the Sheboygan Transit Commission.

- Failure to pay the associated parking rates may result in a ticket and/or towing of the automobile. Currently, parking tickets in unpaid meter stalls is $10.00 per offense and parking tickets for parking in a reserved stall is $25.00 per offense.
